Let’s sculpt
the frequencies of the future!

The workshops conducted by Esch2022, next year’s European Capital of Culture, together with Frank Wiedemann and Matthew Herbert intend to nurture meaningful artistic collaborations and to leave a lasting grassroots legacy by giving locally emerging music a platform.

Call for talents

Please submit your application until 26 July 2021, 10.00 am.

We are looking for passionate composers, performers, producers, and musicians (also groups) from all backgrounds who are ready to cross genres and can
commit to several weeks of part-time musical play in autumn 2021.
The exact schedule will be coordinated with the selected participants. Passion, authenticity, originality,
and an open ear are the most important requirement for participation.

A snapshot of what is created in this initial workshop collaboration will be showcased in late 2021.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in the official Esch2022 Launch in 2022,
showing your music to an international audience. Most importantly, we want to lay the groundwork for the exchange
of musical ideas far beyond the time of the workshop and Esch2022.
